Sashee Chandran founded Tea Drops from a lifelong connection to tea and a wish to make the ritual easier to keep.
From an apartment kitchen
A family tea ritual, reimagined
Sashee's tea perspective grew from both sides of her family: her mother is Chinese, and her Sri Lankan father was born on a tea estate. In 2015, she began experimenting in her apartment kitchen with a more direct way to prepare real tea.
The idea became finely ground whole-leaf tea and real spices pressed into a bagless, single-serve Tea Drop.
